 Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
Well you will not believe what we're going to tell you! We just got off the phone with Ruby and Pasha, who are 2 outstanding rescue dogs who are now running a company to get rid of the bed bugs! There was a story about them in a paper called the New York Times yesterday, and we got to read the story becuz the Humans left the paper on the floor when they were gone! And also, when we were reading the world wide web, our good friendz at Rescue in the Rock had the story too! (TIP! Always shred the paper after you read it, so that you do not aksidentally read it again, and also then when your Humans come home they cannot read it, becuz it is shreddded, and so they have to pay attenshon to you insted!) OK so anyway when we first red this story we had all sorts of mixed emoshons, becuz we love all animals, and so it was like, how can we love all animals and still love Ruby and Pasha, who are helping to get rid of the bed bugs, which are also animals? So we called up Ruby and Pasha, to discust our trubbling emoshons. And this is how it went! ... |

 Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
Today we got a letter from this outstanding organizashon in Pencilvania, and they sed they wanted to be on our list at the Links page! And of course we were like, Two Paws Up! We are always happy to post informashon about outstanding resources and stuff sintz LoLLy came from Town Lake Animal Center and Shelter dogs Rock! OK so anyway we started reading about this outfit, and let us tell you, WHEW! It should be called "State Of Confuzshon Shelter!" And here is what we mean! First of all, there is the front page, where is sez, "Buy a Buck, Build a Shelter!" Now everybody knows -- OH EVERYBODY EGSEPT THESE PEOPLE APPARENTLY -- everybody knows that deer, while outstanding creatures with beautiful antlers and stuff, are not very handy with the tools! So if you want to "Build a Shelter!" the last thing you should do is go "Buy a Buck!" In fact we know this first paw ourselves becuz one time we were in the woods and we met a buck named Raldo and we were like, hey! Let's build a fort! And this deer couldn't hold a hammer at all! And then it turns out that on top of that ... |

 Dear Friendz on the LuLu and LoLLy Dog Blog,
We were reading the world wide web and all of a sudden we saw this, and we were like, Look! It's the Dog Blog! And then we were like, Wow! It sure did change a lot sintz we were last here! And LoLLy sed, "LuLu, when did you turn into a sleek doggy with tennis balls in your mouth? You look very good in this new pikture, I think the nice black coat suits you, and really this is a much more kept look than your usual fuzzy-headed mess!" And then LuLu sed, "I don't remember changing my hair-do at all! But it is a very lovely look. Oh but wait just another minit! Sintz when did we change our name to 'Berkshire?' I thought LuLu and LoLLy were perfectly good names? I mean Berkshire is a very outstanding name 2, but it is hard enuff to keep track of each other without having to remember a new name! Why did we do this?" And LoLLy, wringing her paws, sed, "I don't know, Lu -- or should I call you Berkshire?! I wonder what else we have changed and don't even know it! Oh Berk -- can I call you that for short? What has happened?" So we called up ... |

 Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
As you know, from reading the Dog Blog, the Youth of America (and frankly, probably internashonally it's just we have only herd from the Youth of America) -- anyway the Youth are very smart. And you can tell this from reading about Chloe and her outstanding bucket, and also about Astro's puppies that he is watching in Oklahoma and also the other puppies that are his friends in Texas -- puppies who are cracking jokes of a very advanst level, which you can read about below! Well and now we have more evidintz, namely from Rocky, who is this outstanding Maltese dog puppy here in this pikture, and he is clearly a Mister Smarty Pants. Which does not mean he wears intelligint clothes, but insted, this is a human-generated frase that means "Smart." Well anyway here is how we know this ... |

 Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
As you know, we recintly posted a Dlog about the new outstanding puppies that Astro Jetson is in charge of in Oklahoma. Well gess what? What? Gess! What? GESS! Well OK if you gessed that there are MORE of these super cute puppies, and that this bunch is at Katy's Promise Rottweiler Rescue in Austin, Texas, then you would be rite! And your prize is that if you are human, you can hug your dog today, but pleaz be careful with their oxygin supply, and if you are a canine, you can have all the ice cream you want! WE SED SO! Here is the pikture of the other puppies and also, when we herd from Astro that these puppies live in Austin, Texas, we were like hmmm, that sounds familyar ... And then we were like WAIT! That is where we live too! Which is truly Two Paws Up! becuz now we will be able to go over and teach them important things, like how to drive, as soon as we can find the car keys!  Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
We were reading our good friend Astro's Blog, which is called Astro's Tails, and we found that he had been bee-set by Waldo, Silky, Vixen, Cupid, Dasher. And while at first you may think, "Oh! Some of Santa Paws raindeer have come to see Astro!" in fact that is not the case! Instead the Fab Five are an egstremely cute collecshon of puppies that have just come to the Rottweiler Shelter in Oklahoma! And while these young whipper snappers are egseptshonally cute and adorable, they  have 2 speeds: sound asleep, or talking all the time, all at once, all interrupting each other, and the main thing is that they make a lot of fairly disturbing jokes like, "What's black and white and yellow all over?" AND THE ANSWER IS NOT BEES. The answer is something that we should not metshon in polite company. Namely, "The newspaper that I just $&*%@ on." Which all these puppies think is hilarious! Needless to say we immeediately called up Astro. "Astro!" we sed. "Astro it sounds like you are in need of desprit help!"
"No kidding! Astro sed. "I'm like a Desprit Housewife. Only without the wardrobe!"
And we sed, "You mean you are forced to watch that television program 2?"
And Astro sed, "It is hard to be me!"
And we sed, "It is one thing to have to watch The Desprit Housewives, it's another to have squirmy puppies cracking jokes all the time. But to do both at once and keep up with your blog --"
"Plus I am in charge of the Rotts-n-Notts OKC Shelter!"
"What?" LuLu cried. "Then we must come up there and help you!" ... |

I dunno if you girls got to watch the Westminster Doggie Awards...it's kinda like the Doggie Grammy's. It seems that old dogs are hot again! Ripe is all the hype, old skool is the new golden rule, and having that higher age is all the rage! The Sussex Spaniel took the top honor yesterday! The fact that he (Stump) is a Spaniel is not that surprising (especially since I am a Spaniel too) - but he was 10 years old! Now, I do not think this fact is weird (especially since I am 10 years old too - well, maybe older...) - but the Humans are all freakin out about this...so it just goes to show...sore joints and pesky younger brothers are not the only things that come with age! Gold medals, awards, and lots of treats (I added that one just in case) do too!

As you know, our good friend Sheba, who is a truly outstanding dog from Great Pyranees Rescue, well she has been having trubble. And the werst part about the trubble is that she does not seem to realize she is in trubble, and the trubble is getting werse. Becuz as you know, Sheba sent us something she called a poem, and we were like, um, Sheba, this is not a poem, becuz it does not rime. And frankly we sed this very politely (and you can read about that here, in case you are not up to date on this material.) But basicly Sheba was like, oh I am taking modern poetry classes on the internet, at which poiint we reminded her that the world wide web had to be used very carefully ... |

 Dear Friendz on the Dog Blog,
Today we are very pleazed to report that the Youth of America are very smart. And how do we know this? you say. Well that is an outstanding kweston and here is the story that is the answer: See it all started with Chloe, who is the super cute puppy in this pikture. And she sent us an email letter saying she would like a bucket! And we were like, a bucket? Chloe is going to the beach? Oh wow! Two Paws Up! And we were like, Let's call Chloe and see if we can get in on this beach thing! Becuz as you know, espeshly if you have had the decintsy to buy our 2009 Calendar (proceeds go to rescue groups!), we have had some outstanding fun at the beach, espeshly LuLu, who got an egsellent tan during the time that LoLLy was in the hospital recovering from trying to make friends with the crab! So anyway we were like OK let's call Chloe and pack our bags with the towls and stuff and get ready to go! And obvyusly if Chloe is going to the beach she must have a ride somehow, and we will hitch along, which is truly outstanding sintz we do not have credit kards and we are never able to find the car keys sintz we drove into the lamppost and stuff! And so we called Chloe and this is how the conversashon went! ... |
